Ernst Djeride Jean-Baptiste

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Ernst Djeride Jean-Baptiste is a communications and education specialist committed to improving the Haitian education system. His research focuses on minority languages, digital innovation, and multilingual language policies. Since 2020, he has led communications for the MIT-Haiti Initiative. He previously supported EDUKAYITI through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation and the Haitian Ministry of Education. He holds degrees in Philosophy (Santo Domingo), Political Communication (Barcelona), and Bilingual Studies (Ottawa). In 2024, he received the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics award for work on digital language preservation. He has presented at McGill, Carleton, and other Canadian Universities. 

Co-Founder & Director of Program Development

Dr. Moreau, a Doctor of Nursing Practice graduate, leads the development of community-based health education programs that empower individuals to improve their well-being. She brings both clinical expertise and academic research to the forefront of public health. Her passion is deeply personal, born from witnessing the impact of low health literacy in underserved communities. Her DNP project proved that health promotion interventions can significantly improve outcomes, and that evidence drives her mission today. 

As co-founder, she's dedicated to creating and implementing culturally relevant, evidence-based tools that transform knowledge into lasting health change.

President of the Advisory Body

Julia Defranc is a dedicated physiotherapist with international training in physical rehabilitation, public health, and leadership. She holds degrees from universities in Haiti, France, and Canada, including a Master's in public Administration and a specialization in Disability and Inclusion. 

Her desire to help vulnerable individuals improve their quality of life has always been her true calling. This passion led her to study physical medicine and continues to guide her professional journey. 

Passionate about serving vulnerable communities, Julia uses her expertise to promote health education, provide support, and improve access to care. Her mission is to make a meaningful impact through compassion, knowledge, and advocacy.

President of Community Development

Dr. Witteny Petit-Homme is a licensed dental surgeon and graduate of the State University of Haiti (UEH). Passionate about serving vulnerable communities, he has provided care in rural areas through his work with "Friends of Haiti" and as the Founder of Finesse Dental Clinic, which focuses on oral health in provincial towns.

He currently leads the Department of Dentistry at La Providence Hospital in Gonaives, Haiti, and also works with the Dental Referral Center in Saint-Marc. Dr. Petit-Homme is dedicated to improving access to dental care and educating the public about oral health and prevention. 

Community Program Coordinator / Community Engagement Officer (Section I)

Kenndy Caneus is a licensed nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Info World University in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He is also a former biology teacher, passionate about education and health promotion. With a strong desire to give back, Kenndy joined this project to share his skills and help improve the well-being of his community.

Outside of work, he enjoys music and sports, which reflect his energetic and balanced approach to life. Kenndy is committed to using his knowledge and compassion to make a lasting, positive impact.

Head of Training and Workshops

Dr. Amedee is a dedicated physician and Head of Health Services at the Evangelical Hospital of Bombardopolis. Trained at Mount Everest University in Haiti, he holds international certifications in cervical and breast cancer prevention, infectious disease control, and health promotion. He is the founder of AJOPH, a youth-led organization promoting progress and well-being in Haiti.

A professor of anatomy and medical semiotics, Dr. Amedee is committed to educating others and improving community health. Dr. Amedee brings both expertise and compassion to his work in advancing community health.

Health Screening Specialist / Finance Officer

Nephtalie Henry is a dedicated nurse and a proud graduate of the Centre Paramedical International (CPI). She currently works at the Hôpital Évangélique de Bombardopolis (HEB), where she provides compassionate care to those in need.  Beyond her clinical work, Nephtalie is also skilled in decoration and cooking, two creative passions that reflect her love for service.

Nephtalie believes in the transformative power of education to improve health outcomes in underserved communities, promoting wellness, prevention, and access to care.

Head of Evaluation and Reporting / Finance Officer

Rose Lara Exantus is a nurse who graduated from Univerité Lumière de Carrefour in Haiti. With a solid foundation in clinical care and a passion for education, she went on to teach urological nursing at Mont Everest University of Haiti. Through this role, she played a pivotal part in shaping the future of healthcare professionals, sharing both her knowledge and dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality care. 

Her desire to serve others goes beyond the classroom and clinical setting. She is driven by a calling to make healthcare more accessible, especially in underserved communities. 

Secretary of the Advisory Body

Annie Marie Gardy Clairilus is a dedicated physiotherapist with a strong focus on pediatric therapy. Since 2022, she has been working closely with children affected by neurological disorders, using specialized techniques such as the Bobath method to support functional rehabilitation.

Passionate about her profession, Annie is deeply committed to helping children gain greater independence and improve their daily well-being. She is also driven to continue her professional growth and make a meaningful contribution to the field of physiotherapy.

Public Relations & Partnerships Consultant

Ledkerry is a graduating sociology student at the State University of Haiti (UEH). He works as a data analyst specializing in Power BI and serves as the Youth Minister of Planning and External Cooperation. Ledkerry is also the co-founder of OFIXEN Tech, a digital agency that helps businesses grow through technology. 

Ledkerry is always eager to contribute to initiatives that place Haiti's challenges at the center of their mission, efforts that aim to lay the foundation for a more inclusive, just, and prosperous Haiti. 

Community Engagement Officer (Section II & III)

Junica Sherry Dorleant is a dedicated and compassionate nurse, holding a degree in Nursing from Info World University in Port-au-Prince. She also pursued her passion for creativity by earning a diploma in fashion design.

Junica has a deep love for music and meaningful conversation, and she thrives when engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. For Junica, caring for others is more than a profession; it’s a calling that reflects her values of service, empathy, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
